Posts: 523 | I am finally going next week to go examine this Ithaca Model 37 Featherweight in 20 gauge a guy wants to sell. What is the serial number range of years of manufacture of the Ithaca 37? Thank you.

Location: iowa | I've got an old 37 I inherited from my neighbor who taught me to hunt back in the 60s. Serial # is 175524. Can you tell me how old it is? Also, are new barrells available for guns this old? I'd like to get a modified choke for it. BTW, it's a 20 gauge. Thanks.

Also, are new barrells available for guns this old? I'd like to get a modified choke for it. BTW, it's a 20 gauge. Thanks. 1948. And since it's an older one ('pre 855,000' serial number) any replacement barrel will have to be fit by a qualified gunsmith.

20ga 4537xx
12ga 767xx R
Wondering if the 20 is old enough to be worth a restoration?? How much does something like that cost??
The 12ga looks like the stock has been refinished & the blue is probably 95% ++. I love this one, it has been in our family for 30+ years.
