Drivers associated with Logitech hardware devices control communication between the device and the operating system. Removing drivers from a system can be a useful way of troubleshooting issues or reinstalling devices. For businesses making use of hardware peripherals, the number of installed drivers should be kept to a minimum to reduce system bloat. Drivers that are installed should be updated on a regular basis to apply the most recent bug fixes and improve compatibility with other software and hardware. Drivers that aren't used should be removed.

Tips

  • Depending on your device, you may be able to uninstall a driver by clicking 'Start,' selecting 'All Programs' and choosing 'Logitech.' There may be an option to remove the driver in this folder.
  • Windows enables users to roll back drivers to the previous version rather than uninstalling them. Right-click on an entry in Device Manager and choose 'Properties.' Click the 'Driver' tab to find the option to roll back the driver.
  • Device drivers can be reinstalled in the future by plugging the relevant device back into the computer and having Windows install the driver, or by downloading them from the Logitech website and manually installing them. Go to Logitech's Support and Downloads section and use the online wizard to identify the device for which you wish to install drivers.
